A few studies I did for my "Painting & Source" class. Three 16"x20" acrylic paintings based on the techniques of Gerhard Richter, Luc Tuymans, And Sigmar Polke respectively. Source images coming from the Stanley Kubrick films: A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, and Dr. Strangelove.

ReplyDeleteHuge fan of painting #1 especially; it's got the colour and weight and form I want to see in more of your paintings. The light reminds me of the chinese artist you liked from Martin's class- I want his/her name btw.

ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying the first one. The colours work really well together and give off a certain amount of glowiness. I'm quite partial to red + turquoise, as illustrated by my love for Loish on DA.
